Whale watch pages...

I worked at the scrapbook store, today.  I was able to complete a couple of pages from my trip to Massachusetts.  We had such a wonderful whale watch trip that it was great to be able to document it with photos...

I'm ready to go on another one!

Tomorrow is a visit with Thomas the Tank Engine!  I'm sure there'll be pics and pages to come!

I'm still around... just busy.

It's starting to become a little tough to keep up with my personal blog.

I've been posting at least 3 times a week on the scrapbook store's blog an definitely neglecting mine.

This is what I've been up to...

This was one of those plain, wooden things at Michael's.  I painted some, covered other parts with paper... did the roof with paper and craft scissors.  I used index prints of my photos to put the pics up of my niece, my uncle, and Sarah and I on the whale watch.  The quahog sign is from a pic I took in Newport, RI of an actual business.  (For those who don't know... they are big 'ol clams!)

I punched the flowers and used distress ink on everything and glitter on the flowers.  It was fun to do and a good project for the kit of the month for the scrapbook store.

This will be a busy weekend.  I'm working at the scrapbook store and then also going to see Thomas The Train with my niece, nephew, Mom, and sister.  I'll be taking the camera, so I'll hopefully get some good shots.  Kid pages are much more fun to do!

I'm not overly thrilled about having a birthday, soon.  The years are just passing too quickly.  My kids are about grown and gone.  Ugh.  There is still so much I want to do... I'd better get busy.  I actually completed a "Bucket List" album listing some of the things I want to do in my life.  Maybe I'll take some pics and share my list...

Anyway... have a great weekend.  We have gorgeous weather, here... I hope you all go outside and enjoy it!

Keeping busy...

I've been blogging on the local scrapbook store's blog, and have been ignoring my own!  Sorry about that.

Here's a few things that I've made with the kit of the month from the store...

Can't show you the other card I made because it's for my sister's birthday next month.... or maybe I should just go find a card at Hallmark that plays Brittney Spears???  Hmmm...

Then I made a mini-album with some pictures from a friend.  She took her Godson to the local zoo.  The book is for her.

The journaling is all part of a poem I found online... that's why the one line repeats.

I'm hoping to get some things done of my trip to Massachusetts this weekend.  I promise to post whatever I finish.

We are sitting at 102 degrees right now in Billings!  Hope it's nice wherever you are!

Yup. I did come home from Massachusetts.

Granted, I wasn't ready... I could've easily stayed another month, but I'm sure my sister was ready to get her house back to herself!  No.  She was a doll for letting us stay there, driving us back and forth to Boston, Plymouth, Boston, Newport, Boston, New Bedford, Boston, Wrentham, and where else???  Oh yeah, BOSTON!  And I don't know HOW many times we were able to listen to her favorite song....

Danielle's Favorite Song!

I don't think she reads my blog too often, so I'm probably safe sharing her secrets.

Actually, my friend, Kim called me today to tell me that she is still waiting for me to post some more pictures of my trip.  I just finally uploaded them all to Costco and ordered prints of the convention.  I'll share a few here.

Catapillar  Father and daughter Hmmmmm.... there are showing awfully small.  I'd better see if they pop up.

Nope.  Maybe I'd better wait until I'm home and can add them full sized.  I just tried to copy them to this computer from Costco's thumbnails.  And they really ARE thumbnails.  If you can see these pics, they are of someone dressed us as the hookah smoking catapillar from Alice in Wonderland and a father and daughter at the convention.  I took the picture because the dad obviously loves his little girl very much.  He not only is carrying her pink tote bag, but is wearing cat ears to get into the spirit of the convention!

Well, I guess I can post a few more of my little pics and then wait to show you others when I can make them bigger.

I hope you enjoyed a little peek into the convention.  My next post will share more pics from my general vacation.

I also went to the park with a friend on Saturday and was able to get some amazing pictures of the Canadian Geese goslings.  I'll plan on sharing those, too.

Thanks for the nudge, Kim!  I needed it!

Water, water everwhere... but not a drop to drink!

Set off at 9am this morning (that's 7am in MT) on a boat to look for whales.  Never done a whale watch before so wasn't sure how lucky we would be...

Here's my fav pic of the day...

Whale-tail

I cut down the resolution so it would upload to my blog, but I can't wait to play with the photo and print it out along with some of the others.

Hard to believe that I'll be home Tuesday evening!  The time has gone so quickly... I wish it wasn't almost over.

More adventures from Massachusetts!

Obviously, I'm tired at the end of day if I'm posting the answers to my questions ahead of time.  I'm such a dork.  Ok.  No quiz today.  I did enjoy seeing Plymouth Rock, yesterday.  It was pretty cool.  Today we went back into Boston to the aquarioum.  I did get some awesome photos and some video.  Here is just a sample of the pics.

Do you know what it is?  Let me know!  No fair cheating if you saw my facebook entry...

Having a great time in Massachusetts!

So far, our trip has been wonderful.  I've had some sort of seafood every single day.  The clam chowder is so much better here.  Sarah didn't know that it could taste so good!  Today, we had scallop and bacon pizza.  Yum!  I've had lobster... clams casino... grilled clams... clams on the half shell (raw & alive)... fish fillets... scallops (baked & on pizza)... and clam chowder.  So far, so delish!  Shooting for crab before I leave.

We went to Anime Boston on Friday & Saturday, had a clam boil yesterday, and attended a Memorial Day parade that my brother, Jon was in and then drove to Newport, R.I. for the evening.  Shopped in a few stores.  The weather here was beautiful all day.  80's at the parade and then 70's on the shore.  Loved it.

Tomorrow we are heading back into Boston (about an hour's drive).  We are going to do the duck tour and then visit the aquarium.  We might be able to see chinatown... we'll have to see.

I haven't uploaded any of my photos onto my computer, yet.  One of these nights, I will, and then I'll have some pics to share.  I have the good, the bad, and the ugly from the convention, family, and beautiful sites.  Can't wait to share.  Oh, yeah.  The house I'm staying at (the cottage) is right on "the pond".  it's the size of a lake, but not deep enough, so it's technically called a 'great pond'.  It's so wonderul to sit out on the deck in the morning.  I could stay here.  But, don't worry, I'll be back!

Talk to you again, soon.

Just a quick note before I go.

I'm heading off to Boston with Sarah on Wednesday morning and I'll be gone until June 2nd.  I'll try to post while I'm gone... but I wanted to share a little something I discovered.

I think I know where the Cullens are spending their summer...

Cullen-ct

But I'm not gonna tell a soul.  That's just between me and the Cullens.

I'm still very sad, but I'm doing better.

I haven't felt much like blogging lately.  Not here or on the scrapbook blog I do.  But, life goes on, and I need to snap out of my depression.  Things just aren't the same.  I don't like to come home because I miss hearing him barking... all excited that someone is home.  I miss him snuggling up in bed... keeping me warm.  I miss his sweet kisses.  I miss him dancing on his hind legs begging for a treat.  I miss him skipping over cracks - real or perceived.  There is so much that I miss.  It just doesn't seem possible that he is gone.  I'm sure that I'll do a tribute mini album for him... eventually.  I guess I'm just not ready, yet.

Last Saturday was National Scrapbook Day and I participated in an all-day crop.  I was able to finish a couple of projects for the Design Team that I'm on.  I did a page of my nephew to go along with another page I did of my niece... both from Easter.  Here they both are.

I also did a card for the Design Team...

I often alter different letter "A"s.  Well, this month, I switched letters with another member of the Design Team.  I did a "K" this month that Kelly will take home when it's finished being displayed.

Sarah & I are getting very excited to leave for our trip to Boston in only 11 days!  There is a ton of family that I still haven't 'met' and even more that Sarah has never met!  When I say that I haven't 'met' them, I should say they are family that I haven't seen since I was so little that I don't remember them.  I enjoyed it so much last time and I feel like I'm learning more about myself by learning more about my family.  I can't wait to go back.  Plus, I love spending time with my sister, Danielle!  She is working up an entire itinerary of our visit!  We'll be there soon, everyone!
